Introducing myself
I go by the screen name Albacor, but my first name is Nick. I am currently enrolled at a 4-year university majoring in Economics and Political Science and minoring in Sociology. I enjoy discussing socio, political, or economic issues, or issues that span any combination of those things.
I spend much of my time playing video games and watching movies, essesntially escaping reality. I have a sometimes fatalistic view of the world and I tend to be very straightforward about exactly what I mean. I intend on doing various types of research after I graduate college.
I like to spend a lot of my time with friends, but I do enjoy alone time. I like to read books every once in a while. One of the best books I’ve read is Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. The theories and concepts put forth by that book are incredibly interesting. A few other authors I enjoy are Kurt Vonnegut, Herbert Marcuse, Edward Bellamy, and Aldous Huxley. Hopefully, I will be able to say something remotely interesting here.
